"Theilerhaus"

The historically preserved Theilerhaus and former Landis and Gyr factory building, built in 1896, has remained more or less unused since it was acquired by the Canton of Zug in 1989. Before the renovation began in 2023, I captured the traces of the past and weathering in the numerous rooms photographically. The rooms also tell Zug stories of unknown users. Very lively-looking layers are superimposed.

In this project too, I am fascinated by the aesthetics of showing the seemingly unremarkable, the old, the ephemeral, the time-worn, the patina... just before the transformation into something new.
