Vergessenes Licht

The Milky Way is a beautiful sight that we are slowly but surely losing on our planet. If you actively search for a dark sky in Switzerland, you will be confronted with a harsh reality. There is no longer a truly dark sky in our backyards due to light pollution. High up in the mountains, above the smog and away from the light of the cities, you can still see the dust trails and bright bands of the Milky Way with the naked eye. Here I find a time-out from everyday life. In the silence of a moonless night, where the only sounds are the occasional rustle of an animal in the bushes. This is the moment when my time begins. I quietly watch the stars wandering over the ridges of the mountains, getting closer and closer to the composition I want. Hence my series "Forgotten Light".
