Zug – Ein Blick hinter die Kulissen ( Zug a look beheind the Scenes)

The once poor central Swiss canton has become an oasis for the super-rich and multinational companies. But while those find outstanding economic conditions, the negative consequences are becoming noticeable: unaffordable housing and living costs, displacement of the middle class, concreting over of green spaces, loss of identity. Rich, clean, faceless - is this image true? I have been looking for evidence of this since 2014 and have taken to the streets of Zug as a flâneur. What superficially looks like a glossy brochure for location marketing, however, shows irritating and winking breaks. Why does it seem as if the Sunday mood prevails here even on weekdays? In part, social distancing seems to have been present for quite some time - not just since Corona. Neither tendentious nor denunciatory, but with an uncomfortable and questioning view, I would like to deliver an unadorned document of time.
