Artist's Statement

Exploration Senseland

I'm not looking for the raw materials in the earth's crust. "Exploration Senseland" is a journey into my inner world and past. I grew up in the Sense district of the canton of Fribourg and have not lived there for over twenty years. The work takes the viewer on a journey of discovery and makes the almost overlooked visible. I deliberately do not focus on the inhabitants, but on found objects, that with the context enter into a dialog and refer to the culture of the residents.
